Northmen Jr B

The game of lacrosse is steeped deeply in the historical past of this community, dating back to the 1860's. They resurrected the Jr. "B" Northmen in 1989. The team consisted of local players who had finished their minor years. Being a first year team, expectations were not that high but with the support of this community, and some tremendous "Northmen" pride they went on to capture the Canadian Jr. "B" championship (Founders Cup). To prove to any detractors that this was not a fairy tale season, they repeated this feat the following year. The fan support is the first thing that impresses most visitors to Orangeville. The Orangeville Northmen are a great source of pride for our community, not only because they are winning teams but the strength of this organization and sense of family it envelopes everyone involved.

MacMaster Buick GMC has been a proud sponsor of the Jr B Northmen for over 20 years. In addition, we have happily employed many past and current players.

Headwaters Hospital

Like all hospitals, Headwaters receives no funding from the Government, outside of large-scale capital builds, to purchase or replace hospital equipment. To ensure patients receive the best care, using the best equipment, we depend on your generosity. Donations makes it possible for our hospital to provide the best care for our community’s best health.

Brackett Auto Group has been a longtime supporter of Headwaters Hospital including yearly donations, all proceeds matched and donated from our annual Chicken Drive, and as a “Hole in One” golf tournament sponsor.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters

The Big Brothers and Big Sisters mentoring program provides boys and young men and girls and young women with a role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests, and is supported by our experienced case-workers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.
